Refine your next move by tapping into the UChicago alumni network. Join fellow alumni, parents, and friends for a panel discussion and networking reception. You will learn about long-term career planning, where to find career guidance, and the role that coaching plays (for both mentor and mentee) in advancing your career.

In addition, make sure to get your business cards ready! Attendees will have the opportunity to interact with fellow UChicago alumni and explore potential mentor/mentee pairings in a facilitated speed networking exercise.

Confirmed Panelists:

Krisztina Kohlhaas (MBA'08) is a coach to entrepreneurial leaders throughout the world. She partners with ambitious people to help them uplevel their businesses and become dynamic and collaborative leaders, communicators, and role models of high integrity. As a Vistage Chair, she facilitates a peer group for CEOs of noncompetitive industries to help them make more money, improve their relationships and have more free time. Krisztina created the Revolution Intensive, an annual 3-day event that fosters selfless service, integrity and collaboration among business leaders. By night she sings in the rock band Soul Survivor. 

Samorn Selim is the daughter of Lao refugees and a first-generation college and professional student.  She is the Founder of Samorn Selim Coaching and and is one of the leading experts supporting professionals and entrepreneurs to have happy and successful careers.

As an educator, attorney, coach, and counselor, Samorn provides a holistic approach to coaching and has successfully worked with over 1,000 professionals to assess their career goals, develop effective job search strategies, and manage their professional development.  The great majority of her private clients have achieved their career goals within two to three months of partnering together. 
Samorn received her B.A. with High Honors in Social Welfare and Legal Studies with a minor in Education and J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley. She was formerly the Director of Employer Outreach and Associate Director for Private Sector Counseling and Programs at Berkeley Law and the Associate Director for the  Graduate Class at UC Hastings.  She also practiced law as a corporate litigator at Manatt, Phelps & Phillips.

Lily C. Yang (PhD'76) is serial entrepreneur and a business manager plus global business development between United States, Europe and Asian Pacific. She is experienced in the diagnostics, biopharmaceuticals, therapeutics, pharmaceuticals, and cell therapeutics industry sectors. Yang's work experience includes Dupont, Hewlett Packard, and Asian Biomedical Development. Yang is currently CEO/President of TheraLife Inc.- Metro Chair of Life Science Affinity Group- UChicago, San Francisco Bay Area - created "Center for Leadership Development" for coaching and career development for UChicago Alumni.
