Liz Doty, AB'11 Senior Executive Search Consultant, Luca Group
Robert G. Daniel, PhD'91, PMP
Robert currently serves as Vice President of Project Management for 1st Detect, a supplier of miniature mass spectrometers for chemical analysis in the defense, security, petrochemical, and food manufacturing industries. He is responsible for oversight of government programs and commercial development of new products.
Prior to 1st Detect, Robert was the Senior Vice President of Government Contracts at ANP Technologies, a nano-biotechnology company that develops handheld assays for the detection of biological and chemical warfare agents. He also held the titles of Vice President of Research & Development as well as Director of Operations while at ANP Technologies. Prior to that, he worked at the U.S. Army Research Laboratory conducting research in fire suppression, atmospheric fate of halons and halon alternative compounds, and the detection of energetic materials and biological agents.
Robert graduated with a PhD in Physical Chemistry from the University of Chicago in 1991, and presently lives in Pearland, Texas.
Ryan Mayo AB ’02, Director of Financial Planning, TransCanada
Ryan Mayo has been with TransCanada since 2008 and currently serves as Director of Financial Planning, overseeing a team responsible for long-term corporate planning, annual budgeting, and capital projects analysis. In this role, Ryan was actively involved in the formation of Columbia Pipeline Partners and the subsequent spin-off of Columbia Pipeline Group and acquisition by and integration into TransCanada. He has continued to be involved in many aspects of the new business, including SEC reporting activities, in addition to his ongoing financial planning responsibilities.
Prior to assuming his current role Ryan served in a variety of financial, regulatory, and project roles.
Among many other accomplishments, Ryan is proud to have been a key contributor to the establishment of the Columbia Gas Modernization Settlement in 2013 and the extension in 2016. As a result of his broad knowledge of the company, in addition to his financial planning responsibilities, Ryan has continued to contribute his expertise to teams on regulatory matters (including matters related to FERC audits and customer settlements) and commercial negotiations.
Ryan earned his bachelor’s degree in economics and statistics from the University of Chicago and his MBA degree from Rice University.
